Animation UK urges the UK Government to reject a default opt-out system in favour of an opt-in approach that ensures creators retain control over their works, to mandate transparency for AI training datasets, to develop legal mechanisms that penalize unauthorized AI use of copyrighted animation, and to support a licensing ecosystem that enables both animation studios and independent creators to benefit financially from AI training agreements.
