UKSA respects your privacy and are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our members, stakeholders and visitors to our website. We respect and comply with the requirements of the GDPR regulations.

We use Google Analytics to log anonymous information about visitors to our website. This enables us to track which pages people visit, the way they navigate our site, which links they click and the way they experience the site according to the device they use to access it. We do this so that we can improve our website to enhance the users’ experience. We use cookies on our website to ensure the correct behaviour of the site and to enable certain features such as allowing you to remain logged-in.

Certain parts of our website require you to log-in to access exclusive content and this access will be logged for security purposes and to improve your user experience.

The membership of UK Screen Alliance or Animation UK is based on companies rather than individuals; however, we extend various benefits of membership to all employees of our member companies.

If your company is a member of UKSA, we believe we have legitimate contractual interest in holding your contact information as an employee of a member company including name, business email address, company, job title and contact telephone in order that we may deliver our obligations of our contract of membership with your company, such as telling you about our activities, our events, our reports, our surveys and pertinent information about our industry.

If you have signed-up to our mailing lists by opting-in using our online forms, you have give consent for us to process your personal information to contact you by the methods you have chosen.

As we are a membership organisation specialising in business advocacy, we believe that we have a legitimate interest in holding contact information for relevant businesses or organisations for the purposes of marketing our services via membership or sponsorship.

We also believe we have a legitimate interest in holding contact information of organisations and government bodies whom we seek to liaise with or influence in the course of our advocacy activities. This legitimate interest also extends to individuals holding public office.

If you have registered for any of our events, we will hold your contact information for the purposes delivering the event and providing you with information about other relevant events in future.

You may alter your contact preferences at any time. You may unsubscribe from any of our mailing lists by clicking the link in the email or by emailing us to request that we refrain from sending you email. We will comply immediately with any such request to cease sending email, other than any contractually required communication.

You may update your contact preferences by emailing us or by clicking on the link on an email we send you.

We do not rent or sell your information to other organisations.

We may share your information with third-party cloud data service providers for the sole purpose of them delivering that service to us (e.g. customer relationship management, event managnement, file storage and sharing and member communications etc.) These third-party service providers are not allowed to use your information for any purpose other than delivering the specific service to us which we have provisioned from them. These service providers include Insightly, Mailchimp, PieSync, Eventbrite, WordPress, Google Drive, Microsoft Office 365 Sharepoint, DropBox and Survey Monkey: This is not an exhaustive list and may be added to or amended from time to time.

As third-party suppliers may be based outide of the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) countries, when we use their services we meet our obligations under GDPR by ensuring that any information we entrust to them has equivalent protection as if it were being held within the UK or EEA.

We do not hold your credit card information. Where credit card information is provided for the purchase of event tickets or other services, it is processed by a third-party provider such as Eventbrite and we do not have access to it.

You are entitled to see the personal information we hold about you and request that we correct any inaccuracies or delete all the information entirely. You may do this by emailing info@ukscreenalliance.co.uk
