VFX/Animation Roles Points Based Visa minimum salaries

The government have published further details on how the Points Based System will work after Jan 1st 2021 for Skilled Worker Visas.

We have created a document which lists common VFX and animation roles and maps them against their SOC code, Shortage Occupation List status and Going Rate salaries.

The Going Rate is derived from the Office of National Statistics ASHE data (Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings) which is updated every October. The Going Rate is set at the 25% percentile salary within the Standard Occupation Classification (SOC) code.

Shortage Occupation List roles get a 20% discount off the Going Rate as a minimum salary for visa application. This increases to a 30% discount for new entrants (under 26 or transferring from a Student or Graduate Visa).
