Serious Kids and Keyframe Studios have inked a deal to co-produce Cats React to Facts, a mixed media comedy series for 7-12 year olds, based on the series of books by Izzy Howell, published by Hachette Children’s Group. It is created by Asa Movshovitz and developed by Will Brenton.
Discussions are underway with potential partners internationally for this groundbreaking new series featuring “real” cats as news anchors, offering a clever and entertaining twist on social media and factual reporting. This innovative show will blend tongue-in-cheek ignorance with captivating facts, all delivered by charismatic feline presenters. The series promises to be a delightful mix of humour and information, enriched with a stream of fan interaction via X, Instagram, and TikTok. Viewers can easily filter the facts from the fluff and also follow their feline news anchor’s personal social media account for even more behind-the-scenes engagement on social media platforms.
This is our response to changing viewing habits for this age group, and Cats React to Facts comes at the viewer with a very fast paced comic delivery punctuated by non-stop visual gags, all underpinned by science facts. We are looking at both linear and digital production models.
Asa Movshovitz, Founder of Keyframe Studios
Style is everything, and this show uses 2D/3D cut out animation blended with live action, emojis, memes and other perennial trends to deliver the most amazing facts in a laugh out loud delivery. This is such a fun project to work on with our partners Keyframe Studios who have already produced a deck, promo and two scripts.
Genevieve Dexter, CEO of Serious Kids

Blending irresistible humour and facts has proved to be a winning formula for this popular series, with awards including the Best Laugh Out Loud Book for 6 –8 year olds award at the Lollies and The Royal Society Young People’s Book Prize.
