The Pixelatl Festival has become the main link between Latin American creators and the global industries of animation, comics and videogames.
It calls for five days creators, executives, and fans of all areas of audiovisual work, to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences, promote emerging projects, build a network of international collaboration, create new audiences and foster a spirit of community.
The content of the program is structured in four types of content:
Like every animation festival, a fundamental part is the possibility of seeing works from all over the world. We have an official selection of animated short films -which is made up of different calls- as well as several international shows, animated feature films, and a program of animated films designed especially for children.
The Creative Fair
Since 2014, our festival has a space with artistic exhibitions, comic alley, virtual reality animation shows, videogame showroom, article booths and creative companies, as well as a forum where works in progress are exhibited, some lectures are given and live artistic exhibitions (showcasses) are held.
The Festival has an extensive program of conferences and workshops, both for professionals and for beginners, trying to cover as much as possible of the wide range of issues that make up the narrative creative and sequential-audiovisual oriented entertainment. In the Conferences and Workshops sections of the “Contents” menu of this portal, all these activities will be listed (in October) with details of the type of passports (accreditations) that give access to each one of them.
In addition, the festival integrates a creative business market (previously called Cumbre), with specialized training activities for professionals, as well as talks, presentations, pitches, and other activities linking with creators and international executives. Access to these activities is restricted to the Mercado passport, or in some cases it is granted by convocation.More info
