Founded in 2023, DISAUTHORITY is a London-based production and postproduction company working with emerging filmmakers to bring their projects to the screen.

We believe that passionate filmmakers with original ideas should be given the opportunity to see their projects reach wide audiences. We nurture ideas from the very beginning and see them all the way through development, production, finishing post and delivery.

We champion every production that matters to us. We strive for perfection in the visual and the creative and push for projects big or small that come through our doors to become world class.

Our projects include a slate of high-end short films, theatrical feature films and episodic media for high-end TV. Our production experience includes over 10 original short films, with talent such as Ella-Rae Smith and Charlie Hiscock and festival selections at BIFA-qualifying Bolton, Sunderland, Sunrise and NIEFF among others.

Our post production experience boasts over 70 commissions across narrative projects of short and long form, including a short starring Javier Bardem and international feature co-productions.

We are currently developing a slate of genre features and series.

Our first feature, a body horror based on the short story “Exquisite Corpse” by acclaimed Scottish author Kirsty Logan, is set to go into production in Scotland in 2025.

In February 2025 DISAUTHORITY is expanding with a new VFX arm opening in Bangalore.

Milk Visual Effects was founded by a small team of award-winning VFX supervisors and producers in 2013 and now employs over 200 staff across its sites in London and Cardiff.

Milk Visual Effects create innovative and complex sequences for feature films, high-end television and digital content, and was named one of the top 100 fastest growing British tech companies in the Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 in September 2017. Milk also won an Emmy in 2016 for work on the BBC/Hartswood Film ‘s Sherlock; and in 2016 co-founder Sara Bennett became the first woman in twenty years to win an Oscar for best VFX on the film Ex-Machina at the 88th Academy Awards.

The academy Award-winning visual effects studio creates innovative and complex sequences for high-end television and feature films such as Adrift; Alex Garland ‘s Annihilation; Kingsman: The Golden Circle; Netflix‘ Altered Carbon; Philip K. Dick ‘s Electric Dreams and the BBC ‘s Sherlock. Milk has won multiple awards for its creative work, including three consecutive BAFTA Television Craft awards for Doctor Who and critically acclaimed BBC drama Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell.

Milk’s credits also include Ben Wheatley features High Rise and Free Fire; The Martian (20^th Century Fox); The Divergent Series: Insurgent (Lionsgate/Summit); Poltergeist (Fox/MGM); Everest (Universal); Brett Ratner ‘s Hercules (Paramount/MGM); Dracula Untold (Universal); The Last Dragonslayer (Sky); ITV ‘s Thunderbirds Are Go and Paramount/TNT ‘s The Alienist for television.

Scanline VFX is a global visual effects studio with locations in Munich, Stuttgart, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Montreal, Seoul and London. The company is led by President and Senior Visual Effects Supervisor Stephan Trojansky.

Scanline is noted for its creation of natural phenomena such as fire, smoke and water on disaster epics such as San Andreas and Independence Day: Resurgence. Recent projects include Eternals, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and Free Guy for director Shawn Levy. Its work as lead vendor on Godzilla vs. Kong highlights Scanline’s increasing expansion into character and creature work.

Founded in 1989 in Munich, Scanline established itself as an industry leader with the development of its proprietary fluid effects software, Flowline. Scanline was the sole developer of Flowline and in 2008, was the recipient of a Scientific and Technical Achievement Academy Award® for the software.

Scanline was nominated for an Academy Award® for Best Achievement in Visual Effects in 2010 for its work on Clint Eastwood’s Hereafter, for which it was the sole visual effects vendor. The film’s signature sequence was a recreation of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, which TIME Magazine called “the most exciting, expertly assembled flood scene in movie history.” In 2013, Scanline received a BAFTA nomination for its work on Iron Man 3 and in 2015, a second Academy Award® nomination for Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

In 2010, Scanline won its first Visual Effects Society (VES) Award for Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects for Hereafter. Scanline has two Emmy Awards to its credit for its work on Season Four and Season Eight of Game of Thrones as well as an HPA Award for Outstanding Visual Effects and VES Awards for Outstanding Created Environment and Outstanding Visual Effects in a Broadcast Program. In 2021, Scanline received its third Emmy nomination for its work on HBO’s The Nevers.
