Milk Visual Effects was founded by a small team of award-winning VFX supervisors and producers in 2013 and now employs over 200 staff across its sites in London and Cardiff.

Scanline VFX is a global visual effects studio with locations in Munich, Stuttgart, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Montreal, Seoul and London. The company is led by President and Senior Visual Effects Supervisor Stephan Trojansky.

Scanline is noted for its creation of natural phenomena such as fire, smoke and water on disaster epics such as San Andreas and Independence Day: Resurgence. Recent projects include Eternals, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and Free Guy for director Shawn Levy. Its work as lead vendor on Godzilla vs. Kong highlights Scanline’s increasing expansion into character and creature work.

Founded in 1989 in Munich, Scanline established itself as an industry leader with the development of its proprietary fluid effects software, Flowline. Scanline was the sole developer of Flowline and in 2008, was the recipient of a Scientific and Technical Achievement Academy Award® for the software.

Scanline was nominated for an Academy Award® for Best Achievement in Visual Effects in 2010 for its work on Clint Eastwood’s Hereafter, for which it was the sole visual effects vendor. The film’s signature sequence was a recreation of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, which TIME Magazine called “the most exciting, expertly assembled flood scene in movie history.” In 2013, Scanline received a BAFTA nomination for its work on Iron Man 3 and in 2015, a second Academy Award® nomination for Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Established in 1913, Twickenham Studios in the borough of leafy Richmond in West London, offers bespoke services for all Film, TV, Documentary, Music Video and AR projects filming using the 3 stages, through to sound and picture post production, as well as across the new tv studios. TW1is multi award winning, much loved facility, and world-renowned heritage brand.

Post Production Facilities include: 3x Dubbing Sound Theatres, ADR/ Foley Theatre, Baselight HD| / 2K / 4K / HDR Grading Systems, 40+ air conditioned cutting rooms.

Piers Read and Jeremy Rainbird acquired Twickenham Studios in February 2020 and took over management control marking the beginning of a bold and exciting new era for the studios.

As the new Managing Partners Piers and Jeremy are working closely with experienced former owner Sunny Vohra, who remains Co-Owner and Chairman, alongside Chief Financial Officer Roger Sewell and Finance Director Sanjay Nagpal – as part of the newly formed Twickenham studios board.

The senior team is leading the business through the COVID crisis and into a bright new future by developing the physical estate with more world-class facilities. The acquisition and improvement of Twickenham Studios was TIME + SPACE Studios’ first investment into creating a network of film studios throughout the UK backed by major institutional investors including the British Airways pension fund.

Later this year Twickenham Studios will reveal plans to enhance the complex in St. Margaret’s whilst ensuring no disruption to any live projects happening at the studios throughout a sensitively phased development programme. The proposed works will see additions to the existing three stages and the post-production sound and picture facilities, as well as expanding the Media Village, offering a combination of serviced offices and co-working to start-ups and SME’s working in the tech, digital and creative industries.
