A PRODUCTIONS NAMED ONE OF THE UK’S BEST PLACES TO WORK IN TV FOR FOURTH TIME

The Bristol-based, leading animation studio has been named one of Broadcast’s Best Places to Work in TV 2026

Award-winning animation production studio, A Productions, has been named one of Broadcast’s Best Places to Work in TV 2026, marking the fourth time it has been awarded the accolade.

Bristol-based A Productions, which recently celebrated 40 years in business, was included in the prestigious list by leading industry website and magazine, Broadcast. The awards recognise businesses in the TV industry that are “committed to creating a supportive and thriving workplace”.

The list is compiled using the results of a survey filled in by employees, combined with information provided via an in-depth questionnaire submitted by the employer.

Independently-owned A Productions makes award-winning children’s content for TV and film for audiences in the UK and around the world, working with leading broadcasters and streamers including Disney, Netflix, Max, CBeebies and CBBC, and Sky. The creative-led studio is trusted to work with some of the world’s most iconic characters and prides itself in creating beautifully crafted shows, each with their own unique and authentic voice.

The A Productions team is currently working on My Friend Maisy, based on the best-selling books by Lucy Cousins, which is being co-produced by BBC Studios Kids & Family Productions and Trustbridge Entertainment for Sky Kids, with animation created by A Productions and Karrot.

The studio has worked on many notable productions including JoJo and Gran Gran, produced by BBC Studios Kids & Family Productions in association with A Productions for CBeebies; Sesame Street animated specials, Furry Friends Forever: Elmo gets a PuppySesame Street The Nutcracker starring Elmo and Tango and The Monster at the End of This Story, for Sesame Workshop, as well as Pip and Posy Let’s Learn, produced by Magic Light Pictures for Sky Kids with animation services provided by A Productions.

A Productions offers a range of benefits for staff, including one-to-one wellbeing support with a dedicated welfare manager, flexible and hybrid working opportunities, regular social events, a half day Friday wellness afternoon every month on top of holiday allocation, and free lunches every month, known as Feast Thursdays, plus free art tutorials. The studio also recently supported aspiring 3D animators by offering the chance to join a part-time 10-week Skills Bootcamp with NextGen Skills Academy.
