Preparing for Brexit

UK Screen Alliance and Animation UK have been working hard to help represent members’ views and interests in the midst of the Governmental changes which have come into play in the lead up to the UK’s planned exit from the EU. Here is a summary of what members can do to prepare for Brexit, and where they can find the most up-to-date and relevant information for our sectors.


Access: VFX Podcast Episode 20 – ‘Broaching Brexit’

In this Access:VFX podcast episode, Amy Smith (Head of Talent, Framestore) Neil Hatton (CEO, UK Screen Alliance) Valentina Pace (Senior HR Advisor, Framestore), and Niki Hunt (HR Manager, Outpost VFX) discuss how Brexit has affected VFX & Animation studios to date, what it means for people who work in the industry, and how you can best prepare yourself for all outcomes if you want to work in the UK.


Animation UK & CMC Panel Sessions – ‘Be Ready for Brexit’

Animation UK in partnership with the Children’s Media Conference (CMC) ran a ‘Be Ready for Brexit’ event at The Wellcome Trust in London, funded by the government’s Business Readiness Fund. The event, free for attendees and tailored for animation and kids’ content TV/digital production communities, distributors and media freelancers, was an opportunity for a range of industry experts to present invaluable information on how the sector can prepare for various Brexit outcomes.
